Noah Elletson

Noah Elletson, Digital Manager

Junior Noah Elletson has been playing musical instruments since elementary school.

“When I was in third grade, I tried learning the drums…I also have a really bad bamboo flute,” Noah said.

Music is a tradition in Noah‘s family.

“My mom plays the piano. My dad played the violin, both my siblings played the cello,” Noah stated.

Even though his family is musically inclined, it took Noah some time to find his instrument.

“I started playing trombone in sixth grade and back then I mostly played because everyone in my family played a musical instrument,” Noah reminisced. “I felt like I had to, but I really enjoy playing the trombone now.”

Being a part of Hickman’s competitive band, Noah enjoyed winning third place at the MU Champions Of Champions Marching Festival. The marching band also won second place for music general effect and third place for visual performance during their season.

Noah admires his section leaders and “Marching Mizzou” the University of Missouri’s marching band.

Although Noah is not going to college for marching band, he does plan to join the band at the college he attends.

“For me, it’s a lot of fun. I’ve met a lot of fun people in the marching band.”
