Right now, it’s everyone’s dream to get a chance to see Taylor Swift perform. She has 11 #1 billboard songs with ones that everybody knows like “Shake it Off,” “Blank Space,” and “We are Never Getting Back Together.” She is one of only 11 people to break 10 #1 releases, and people are going crazy to watch her light up the stage in person.

Senior Alaina Kimmons had the chance to do just that over the summer. Alaina went with some of her friends and had a blast watching Swift perform all of the songs from her childhood.

Alaina first listened to Taylor Swift over a decade ago and doesn’t plan on stopping now.

Alaina recalled a video from 2013 where Taylor Swift was playing and she said, “I was singing that song for everyone, and [I] performed it.”

Alaina hasn’t been listening to Taylor Swift this entire time, though, stating, “I just started listening to it last year, a lot. I got tickets and had to do some research.”

It isn’t just Swift that can brighten Alaina’s mood, though. She believes there is always music to fit anything that you’re feeling.

“[Music] affects my life for the better. I like to listen to it if I’m in a happy mood, or a sad mood, or anytime. It just makes my day better,” Alaina said.

Alaina has been going to Hickman for four years and has been very active in clubs and activities. She has been a part of the cheer team her entire high school career, has ran for Homecoming Royalty, and has been apart of FCA. She is starting her next adventure this year with the P&G.
