On a Monday morning, Meliah Stevenson (9) sat on the newly reorganized commons lunch tables.
While describing her busy week, Meliah said, “I have practice from 4:30 to 6:30 on Mondays. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays…and yeah, after softball practice, I usually just go eat and go home. Because I’m tired.”
Meliah described the places she’s lived in saying, “I’ve always lived in Missouri. But I used to live in Boonville, Mexico, Moberly, Rolla, Hallsville, and St. Louis.”
However, her favorite town was “Mexico, because we had a lot of nice neighbors.”
While talking about awards she has gotten in the past, Meliah said, “I made a song at Boys and Girls Club, and I got an award for that because a lot of people at the club liked it.”
Meliah expressed that she wanted to get better at singing saying, “I really just want to be able to know how to sing.”
Meliah also stated in a previous interview that her reason for wanting to meet Maria Carrey was “because I want to learn how she makes her voice that high.”
