Sarah Won

Sarah Won, Managing Editor

Sarah Won (11) is a creative and outgoing person. She enjoys drawing and taking her art to the next level. She is a bright light of imagination in the world of AI. Sarah brings her original ideas to the table for Hickman Journalism.

The deep connection between Sarah and art goes back to her childhood.

“A Christmas gift that my dad got me was a big sheet of paper,” Sarah said, pointing to a stack of blank copy paper. “I remember telling my friends about it, and they said, ‘He just got you paper?’” She said that it was one of the best gifts she had ever received.

Sarah doesn’t have a set process for creating art. She said, “It’s really just what’s going on in my mind—either mindless doodling or random coloring.”

She loves to draw people and nature.

“I find myself drawing nature a lot because I just like [to] imagine myself there,” Sarah said.

Sarah prefers handmade art over AI-created art because of the inconsistency of the hand.

“Every time you draw a face, it’s always different,” she stated. “Even if you were to draw one thing, it’s always going to be different.”
